For many years Chris and Liz Van Oeveren ran a steak house on the corner of 2nd and Steel St. Chris had been a chief steward on KLM Dutch Airline. Seen here is Marg and Rolf Hougen celebrating Craig's 11th Birthday.

Jonas Bros.of Anchorage

A company, Jonas Bros. of Anchorage (and Seattle), made muskrat parkas with eskimo-style hoods that extended telescopically forward. 40 degrees below, with a strong wind would not penetrate the warm comfort of these parkas. The hood is lined around the edges with wolverine.

Chief Charlie Abel of Old Crow was an active member of the Progresive Conservative Party, particularly Erik Nielsen, M.P. Charlie was a delegate to the 1967 leadership convention that saw Robert Stanfield succeed John Diefenbaker as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party. Seen here is Charlie in the home of Marg and Rolf Hougen.
